High Clearance Rear Fender Tops for Jeep CJ/YJ - with holes Motobilt - MB5501-H
The Motobilt CJ / YJ high clearance rear fender tops are the answer for anyone wanting to lower the ride height on their Jeep or run a larger tire with minimal suspension life.The Motobilt CJ / YJ high clearance rear fender tops are designed to move the wheel opening up roughly 4 inches for larger tire sizes with low ride height. The fender tops are CNC laser cut from 14 ga P and O sheet metal and formed on a press brake.
The tops are very simple to install. On the Jeep YJ the rear tailgate latch can remain operational with a slight modification. The fender tops are designed to be spot welded in place. Cutting the factory rear fender tops is very simple. Outline the top with 1 inch masking tape and cut the edge. The fender tops will require some trimming for a perfect fit depending on the model Jeep you are installing them on. The kit includes a right and left fender top.
